Conferences

Local Conferences 

Orange Country Model United Nations - (Oct 15, 2011) This is a smaller one day conference established with the intention of giving students an opportunity to apply the new skills and the research they amass. Delegates represemt a wode assortment of country, in many diverse commities.It is designed to give students a way to test and strengthen their skills for a larger conference.

International Conferences

National Model United Nations Washington DC - (Oct 21 - 23, 2011) This conference attracts more than four hundred students from all around the world. Delegates discuss many of the major issues facing the world today including: security and disarmament, economic and financial issues, social and humanitarian issues, etc. Student will have an opportunity to see the United State's Capitol and meet with representatives from the embassy of the country they are representing. This year Victor Valley College has the privilege of representing the Republic of Iraq.

National Model United Nations New York - ( April 3-7, 2012) This is the largest and most acclaimed conference of Model United Nations. It consists of more than five thousand delegates comprised of students from international and domestic colleges. These students come together to discuss current global issues from among twenty selected committees. The closing ceremonies of the conference are held in Great Hall of the United Nations' headquarters which resides in New York. Students also have the opportunity to visit Permanent Missions.
