Fred was a two-year letterman on VVC's golf team in 1992 & 1993. He earned All-Foothill Conference Honors in 1992 where he finished 5th in the tough Foothill Conference with a scoring average of 75.9.

He also has the distinction of being VVC's first two-time qualifier for the SoCalif Community College Golf Championship. In 1992 at Bakersfield CC, Fred finished tied for 59th with scores of 79 & 80 for 159. In 1993 at Spring Valley Lake CC he finished tied for 28th with scores of 75 & 80 for 155.

Fred went on from VVC to become a two year letterman for the Cal State Long Beach 49ers in 1993-94 & 1994-95.

Fred completed his PGA apprentice program in the Fall of 2001 by successfully passing his PGA Class-A certification. He currently works as Assistant Pro at Spring Valley Lake CC.

Fred also plays professional golf on several of the mini-tours and PGA sectional golf events. He is sponsored on the professional circuit by Bill Hunter and Sierra Aluminum Corp.

Fred earned his M.B.A. degree in 2001.
