Coach Jomaa's Bio:

Walid Jomaa has coached and refereed in the high desert for the last 20+ years. Starting in the recreational leagues like most coaches and then progressed to club teams even at the gold level. Was a trainer at the HD Storm for a number of years. He also coached at Sultana HS and 5 years at Victor Valley HS (won 3 league championships and 2 CIF semi-finals appearances). He was assistant coach to the women's team at VVC for 7 years. He refereed at the club level. Also played on various local adult leagues. He coached youth teams that played in England, New Zealand and Australia.

For 3 years Walid was an ODP recruiter and district 5 ODP coach.

Due to his love of the game and wanting to improve as a coach he started attending coaching clinics and has acquired the USSF "B" level coaching license, and also the Advanced National Diploma from the NSCA. He also was a coaching instructor for district 5 for numerous years.

On the administration level, he started the Victorville Youth Soccer League and was president for 4 years. He served on the Victorville recreational advisory committee.

On a professional level Walid is an electrical engineer, graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1981 and worked for the Department of Water and Power for 30 years and he retired in September 2011.

As far as philosophy towards coaching he loves teaching the technical and tactical aspects of the game on a competitive level. Also promote safe playing environment, camaraderie, sportsmanship, respect to fellow athletes, coaches and officials. Mainly encourage the players to stay in school and achieve an education alongside playing collegiate athletics.

Ramo Badohoun - Assistant Coach

Coach "Ramo" Badohoun come to VVC after a successful  three years as head coach for the Eastern Nazarene College's men's soccer program in Quincy, MA. He is currently a Director of Player Development for So Cal Rush where he also coaches two teams. He has been recently named the head coach for the newly open soccer program for Excelsior school for both boys and girls programs.

Badohoun brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience.

Born in Togo, West Africa,  he lived there with much of his childhood also spent in France. Ramo joined Entente Sportive of Wasquehal (E.S.W.) where he received soccer training alongside professional and international players like the famous Franck RibĂ©ry (FC Bayern Munich, Germany).

In December 2005, Badohoun was called into camp for the Togo National Team in preparation for the 2006 African Nations Cup and 2006 World Cup but fell short of making the final team. He then received a full scholarship to play soccer at Hope International University in California where he majored in Business Management and minored in Psychology.
Badohoun is a licensed coach in both the USSF and NSCAA organizations.
