Updesh Kaur

Updesh KaurUpdesh is a teacher serving children 3 to 5 years of age.

After receiving her B.Ed. in India, she taught for 12 years. She now has her A.S. degree in Child Development and 12 years of experience of teaching in California. She taught both in Head Start programs and at Victor Valley College.

Updesh's classroom incorporates language, art, math, dramatic play, science and block play. Updesh comments, "The experience I have from India helped me a lot and I feel proud that I went to school to be a successful teacher."

Peggy Ruby

Peggy RubyPeggy is a teacher serving preschool age children, ages toddler through pre-school.

Peggy has a BA degree in Child Development, Site Supervisor Permit and Program for Infant Toddler Caregiver's Training.

Peggy began working at CDC in 1996 as a student and Substitute Teacher. She became permanent staff in 1999 and has been working with infants and toddlers for the past 11 years. She believes that by providing primary caregiving, respect and a variety of age appropriate materials, the child will flourish. A close relationship is vital to young child's brain development, and respect for individual needs is crucial.
