Prerequisite: Have AHA Healthcare provider level CPR training and be 18 years of age prior to first day of class. The first phase of training in the Emergency Medical Technician I (Ambulance) career structure. Covers all techniques of emergency medical care considered the responsibility of the Emergency Medical Technician.Course emphasizes the development of student skill in recognition of symptoms of illness and injuries and proper procedures of emergency care. Approved by the Inland County Emergency Medical Agency.

All students must be 18 years of age and have CPR certification prior to first day of class.

Don't have CPR certification?

Take ALDH 91 (
credit class) or FBAS 275 from Community Services (non-credit class).

Students will be required to take a TB test, and participate in either a clinical shift at an emergency room, or a shift on an ambulance.
