During the year, student and faculty collaboration will take place beyond the classroom. Every year, the Math Department celebrates two very special events, Pi Day on March 14th and Tau Day on June 28th.
(Pi) is a mathematical reference, it represents the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, approximated at 3.14.
(Tau) can be defined as the ratio of a circle's circumference to its radius, and is equal to 2.
Be sure to mark your calendars and join us as we celebrate math with fun, food, competition, and prizes!
