Mission Statement

California Nursing Students’ Association leads by example, creating a statewide community of politically conscious, technologically savvy, and socially aware nursing students. CNSA fosters the transition of the student to the role of the professional nurse through the development of leadership, activism, and advocacy. Upcoming Community Events

Relay for Life

This semester CNSA is hoping to ake over a team for a fellow nursing student.  The walk takes place at the college on June 2nd. We are in need of a team captain and walkers. If you are interested, please contact any member of CNSA and let us know. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Easter Grams

CNSA representatives will be selling Easter grams that will be passed out in lecture before spring break. Each gram will consist of a egg filled with a message and caandy. Each egg costs $1.00 but if you buy at least 25 then they are half price (.50 cents) Contact your class CNSA representative if you would like to sell some.

Hope & Potatoes Wrist Bands**

In honor of Professor Longoria and Professor Ramming's brother, CNSA  is selling yellow wrist bands to help support liver cancer. Each band cost $3 and all proceeds are being donated via a check in both Professor Longoria and Professor Ramming's name. All donations are appreciated!  ** We are currently trying to produce more of these wristbands.  We will update the program when we have more for sale!

School Sweatshirts

CNSA and the graduating class of spring 2012 are selling sweatshirts to fund money for CNSA and graduation. Each sweatshirt will be selling for $30 as of 3/14/2012. If you would like ot order one contact a CNSA representative to get an order sheet. They are zip-up, hooded sweatshirts that can be black with white print or maroon with gray print. There is also an option to add the graduation year.

VVC Nursing Family Movie Night 

CNSA has currently voated on the date for family night to be May 30th.  There will hopefully be two movies played and we are currently getting these movies approved. Flyers will be passed around when everything is fianlized. 

Special Upcoming Community Projects

Penny Wars

 We are continuing our new penny wars tradition at the beginning of the semseter.  There is a new twist this time, all monies that go into the NP4 jar will be donated to their graduation!  All other classes' proceeds will go into CNSA funds to help fund more scholarships and fun projects!  Winning class will receive a prize that will be announced later into the semster. Placement of jugs to be announced.

Rules: Pennies and bills count as positive points. Silver coins count as negative points.

Example: 1 penny = 1 point, 1 dollar = 100 points, 1 nickel = -5 points, 1 quarter = -25 points.
