Applications for following academies will be made
available approximately four (4) months prior to academy start
date. These applications will be due approximately three (3)
months prior to start date.
- Applications
for Track A beginning in January of the Winter session
will be made available as of June
1st via
the internet (Paramedic Home Page) and also in the Allied
Health Building Faculty Office. Applications and attachments
are due by: 4th Thursday in July (05:00 PM)

for Track B beginning in June of the Summer session will
be made available as of January 5th via the internet
(Paramedic Home Page) and also in the Allied Health Building
Faculty Office. Applications and attachments are due
by: 4th Thursday in February (05:00 PM)

Completed Admission Application
-
Work Experience Letter (Documented 6 months full-time or 1000 hours part-time prehospital Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) experience.)
-
Copy of Mathematics and English college assessment scores within 3 years (or proof of successful completion of Mathematics and English courses within the last 3 years.)

Copy of EMT Card

Copy of BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Card

Copy of high school diploma
-
Copy of negative TB test or chest x-ray within last 12 months

Copy of Hepatitis B immunization or titer showing immunity; either within last 5 years

Copy of Rubella immunization or titer showing immunity; either within last 5 years
-
Proof of Varicella (Chicken Pox) immunization or copy of Varicella titer showing immunity; both within the last 5 years
-
Two Letters of Recommendation (Different from work experience letter.)
INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

EMT Examination
Upon the successful completion of the application period
all applications will be screened for completeness and
accuracy. The applicant will then be notified to contact the Allied Health office for an appointment
date and procedure for the EMT examination process. The
EMT examination will cover the current EMT National Standard
Curriculum. This process should begin immediately following
the application process. A passing score is 80%.

Oral/Practical Interview
Upon
successful completion of the EMT examination process
students will be notified by mail of eligibility for
admission to the oral/practical interview. Applicants
must successfully

Admission Notification
Admission will be granted based on a cumulative scoring
system. A point system will be utilized for objective screening
of all applicants. Admission letters will be mailed approximately
one (1) week after completion of the Oral/Practical Interviews. Notification letters will be mailed:
