9/11 Memorial Service: Thursday, September 11th, 2008

On Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 8:30 a.m., a group of people assembled in front of the 9/11 Monument located in front of the VVC Library for a remembrance service.
In attendance was student artist, Joan Sowinski (photo below), who designed our monument.
This was the 9-11-08 Itinerary:
- 8:30 a.m. : Met & Minor set-up.
- 8:45 a.m. : Assembled, singers (Erika Covarrubias, Dannielle Covarrubias and Brianna Torres) sang one song, and carnations were distributed.
- 9:00 a.m. : Service began - Dr. Victoria Hindes (Dean of Student Services) spoke for a few minutes, followed by a moment of silence. Guests were asked to place a flower on the monument.
