Students need to purchase an all day parking pass $2.00 or park at the parking meters.
Victor Valley College administers the computerized Accuplacer Test as well as the CELSA ESL Test. The Accuplacer assessment covers several skill areas including reading, English, arithmetic, elementary algebra and college-level mathematics. The CELSA Test is designed to test English learners student's language skills. There are no fees for these tests. The test can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. Students will leave the assessment center with a copy of their scores. Test scores are good for the next 3 years. Be sure to come prepared to do your very best. Personal calculators or other devices are not allowed in the test center. To review and study for the test, you may access the following link which lists different websites to study.

Ability To Benefit **EFFECTIVE JULY 1st, Federal Student Aid (Title 1V Funds) will no longer be offered to ATB students who enroll into a program of study on this date or after. Per Federal Regulations.
Ability to Benefit students are those students who do NOT have a high school diploma or a GED and are NOT enrolled in a K-12 grade AND are applying for Federal Financial Aid. Federal regulations require ATB students to sign up for the ATB ACCUPLACER Test to receive proper information regarding their financial aid eligibility status. It is advised to schedule your ATB Test during the morning sessions to ensure enough time to complete your test. Federal regulations also require ATB students to provide a current photo identification card in order to take the test. Birth certificate and social security card are NO LONGER VALID forms of ID and copies of ID's cannot be accepted. Students cannot take the test with out proper identification. To be exempt from completing the assessment test, one of the following must apply to you.
- Completed an Associate of Arts or Sciences degree or higher.
- Completed the equivalent of at least Math 90 and or English 101 here at Victor Valley College or at another higher education institution. (See Counseling).
- Have placement recommendations from an Assessment taken with in the last three years and have a copy of the actual score report. Please fax or email to Assessment Center (see contact information towards bottom of the screen). Include your contact information.
- Enroll only in non-credit classes.
- Planning to only take classes for personal development or enrichment.
- Taking classes for re-certification or licensing.
- Currently enrolled in a four-year college/university.
- For concurrently enrolled students (K-12) enrolling only in music performance, theatrical performance, and/or physical education activity courses are exempt from taking placement tests.

Proper forms of identification:
To test, ALL students must bring a current and valid photo identification card. Examples of a valid ID: A drivers license, federal/military ID, passport, ID card from the DMV, school or other institution, a tribal card, or a naturalization card or a certificate of citizenship.
Testing is scheduled by appointment only-no walk ins. In order to make your appointment to take the assessment test, you must have already applied to Victor Valley College through CCCAPPLY OR be currently enrolled in classes. You will schedule your appointment online (location is listed below) and you will need to know your Victor Valley ID number and your date of birth.
New Students-Once you have applied online (13 years or younger apply in person at Admissions and Records) wait 48-72 hours to be able to make your assessment appointment online. You will need your VVC ID number and your DOB. You can find your VVC ID number by following these steps How to find your VVC ID number.
Returning Students-If you have applied in the past but are NOT currently attending classes (Spring or Fall), then you will need to reapply to have your status updated.

On the day of your test, you will need to check into the test center 10 minutes before your scheduled start time. You will have to reschedule your appointment if you are late. Don't forget your picture ID.

NEED A COPY OF YOUR SCORES? VVC assessment scores can now be viewed through your WebAdvisor account. Once you're in "WebAdvisor for Students Menu" look for the "Academic Profile" column. Under this column you will find the link for "My Assessment Test Results." Click on that link and you will be able to see the scores and the placement codes. Since the placement courses are not listed along with the scores, please use this table (click here) to convert your placement codes into the actual placement courses you tested into.
If you would like to request your test scores please follow these instructions. VVC assessment scores can be requested via email or fax. Please click on the following form: Request for Assessment Scores. Once this form is completely filled out with an actual signature, you can email to Lilia.Garcia@vvc.edu or fax it to 760-241-9212 and make it Attention to Assessment. Scores will be processed within 24-48 hours and will be sent via email, mail or fax.
Victor Valley College can proctor exams from other colleges. A proctoring fee will apply. Please contact Lilia.Garcia@vvc.edu or call 760-245-4271 xt. 2367 to schedule & pay for a proctored test.
