Hi! My name is Mariah Woods, and I am the ASB Social Sciences Senator for the 2012-2013 school year. Although I will be graduating from VVC next year with a Math and Science A.S., I am ultimately aiming to acquire a business degree. However the social sciences have always been of huge interest to me; I have participated in the VVC Model United Nations program for the past two years, and after next semester I will be applying for my international studies certificate. I am incredibly appreciative to VVC for providing a space in which I could learn and still be productive while I took the time I needed to figure out what I wanted to study. As Social Sciences Senator I am hoping to contribute to the positive atmosphere ASB aims to foster on campus, and to help students become aware of the wealth of opportunities that VVC has to offer.
