ASB Student Advocate Senator - Cat Gempler
Hello students of Victor Valley College! My name is Cat Gempler, and I am your Student Advocate for the 2011-2012 school year! I joined ASB in hopes that I will be able to assist you all, and be your voice. I joined ASB in order to not only advance the student experience here on campus, but to advance myself through advocacy. As Student Advocate, my job is to be your voice, whether it be on a local scale, in our community, or on a national scale. Being your voice, I want to make all of you aware of the changes made here on campus and in the nation, that can either positively or negatively affect your educational future. I first joined ASB in the Fall of 2009 as your Social Sciences Senator. I also served as Vice President of Key Club. A nationwide organization focused mainly on community service. I plan on exercising my skills with community service, to broaden the student experience here on council. I am a business and marketing major, focusing on advertising and graphic design. As far as my personal goals go for this school year, my main concern is you guys, the students. I want to keep all of you well informed, involved, and excited about being part of not only a college, but also a community. I look forward to our year together!
