ASB Vice-President - Leif Kofford
To my peers:
My name is Leif Kofford, I am 25 years old and a Psychology/Child Development Major. My current education goals include obtaining an Associates Degree in Child Development and an Associates in Arts. After I complete these degrees I will transfer to a four year university in which I can continue my studies in both fields; hoping to obtain two bachelors as well. Following all of this I would like to go right into a masters/p.h.D program focusing on Industrial Organizational Psychology. Until then I am here, utilizing the great resources VVC has to offer.
Among these resources is the ASB program. As a council member for the last half of the 07-08 term (spring sem.) I was able to learn how valuable the ASB council is in a student's life. I did not know that when I accepted the Executive Senator position I was walking into a very sophisticated, well run program. Being involved in organizing events like campus tours and educational workshops for the Bridge Program, I gained an invaluable experience. I learned that VVC need to be ready to adapt to our current and future students, not the other way around.
Now, in the 08-09 term, I find myself back in the ASB program with more drive and a vision for change. As we see growth in this desert, we will be impacted in many ways. As change is occurring, I want to help students in the community be involved. The Associated Student Body is designed to be the voice of it's students. Help us adapt to you by letting us be your voice. I can be contacted via email at LLeifster@aol.com or by phone: (760) 245-4271 ext. 2278.
Thank You,
Leif Kofford
