Weapons
Firearms and other dangerous weapons of any kind, including knives, are not permitted on
campus except by persons employed by the District as sworn peace officers and members of an
official public law enforcement agency who are required to carry weapons. Persons authorized
under Penal Code section 12050 to carry a concealed weapon shall notify the Campus Police
Chief of their presence on campus and give him/her a copy of their class schedule; reference
Board Policy 8010. Intentional use, possession, or sale of firearms or any other dangerous
weapon is strictly prohibited on campus by state law.
