Student Requirements for Cooperative Education
Cooperative Education is a program designed to connect what the student is learning in the classroom to on-the-job training and experience. Students are required to meet the following criteria:
Student must have a paid or unpaid job or internship.
Student must work enough hours over the term for the number of units of Cooperative Education he/she is enrolled.
Student must have new skills to learn at their job during the term.
Student must have a supervisor willing to assist, mentor, and monitor his/her progress throughout the term.
Students in a paid position must work 75 hours per unit of Cooperative Education over the term. Students in an unpaid position must work 60 hours per unit of Cooperative Education over the term.
