Language
Lab
The Language Lab is located in Humanities Center 10 on lower campus. It
supports ESL (English as a Second Language), French, German, and Spanish
classes. The lab is open to students who are currently enrolled in an
ESL or foreign language class. Students come into the lab whenever it
is convenient and work on their language classes.
Resources
There are currently 30 networked computer stations, with
30 cassette decks at each station which are controlled by a computer console.
We offer a variety of language software programs, which students use to
supplement their learning.
Alternative
Learning
During the hours that the Language Lab is closed, teachers
occasionally hold class in the lab. This allows the teachers the opportunity
to use the equiment and software programs to help reinforce student learning
of the materials presented. Students and teachers both benefit from this
method of instruction as it is a change from the classroom environment,
and it is a positive learning experience.
