SKILLS BANK 4 - This software provides quick brush up in English concepts for students preparing for GED or as a preparation for regular college classes in English. It includes Reading, Writing, and Language series and has over 150 lessons and quizzes addressing concepts in the following categories:

Vocabulary Building, Word Knowledge, Reading Comprehension, Capitalization, Grammar and Usage, Punctuation, Spelling, Language Mechanics, Language Usage, Sentence Structure, Clear Writing and Paragraphs. Also an Information Skills section covers such topics as Using Dictionaries,Books, References, Maps, Charts, Graphs and other Consumer Information.

There is an audio component included in the tutorials. Through the use of headphones students may listen to the lessons as well as read them on screen. There are pretests and posttests that help the student evaluate their understanding of the concepts presented in each lesson.
