Phi Theta Kappa International has extended the deadline for Spring Common Application
to allow as many students as possible to complete their applications.
The new deadline to complete the Spring Common Application is Wednesday, April 18, 2012.
The following scholarships are available on the Spring Common Application.
Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise$180,000 total, 180 scholars awarded $1,000 each
GEICO Business Student Scholarship $2,000 total, 2 business students awarded $1,000 each
Frank Lanza Memorial Scholarship$50,000 total, 20 nursing, respiratory care or emergency medical services students will be awarded $2,500 each
All scholarships are available on the Phi Theta Kappa Spring Common Application and have an extended due date of April 18, 2012. To allow as many students as possible to take advantage of this opportunity, we ask that you forward this email or make an announcement to your members.
Information and eligibility criteria for all of the scholarships available on the Spring Common Application can be found at http://www.ptk.org/become-a-member/scholarships.
To be considered for this scholarship competition, students will need to complete the scholarship application at https://my.ptk.org/edge/. Please note that every question on the application must be completed unless it is marked "Optional". Students will know their application is complete if each tab or "page" of the application has a green checkmark.

Scholarship Opportunities for VVC Phi Theta Kappa Members
Hello Phi Theta Kappans,
We want to take a moment to celebrate three very special students.
Over the last several months, our chapter has been working on providing additional scholarships in three areas.
- Phi Theta Kappa Member Scholarship which celebrates an outstanding Alpha Phi Gamma chapter member.
- Phi Theta Kappa Academic Scholarship which highlights one of our students who is a wonderful example of Scholarship, one Phi Theta Kappa's four cornerstones.
- Phi Theta Kappa Community Service Scholarship which is awarded to a student who has demonstrated a commitment to our community.
The three students are Sarah Estabrook, Michael Lara and Ulises Benitez. Congratulations!
At this event we will also be installing newly elected officers who will serve from June, 2012 - June, 2013.
We have much to celebrate so please join us at 6pm on March 10th in the Student Activities Center. RSVP before March 6, 2012.
