Open Forum On Goal Setting For The Integrated Master Plan A Great Success
On January 29, 2004, a campus-wide gathering of faculty, staff, students, and board representation participated in an Open Forum on Goal Setting for the Integrated Master Plan. Mark Clair, Research Coordinator, Dr. Tom Miller, Master Plan Faculty Facilitator, and Paul Tonning, Technology Plan Faculty Facilitator
served as co-hosts of this event. Dr. Pat Spencer, Superintendent/President, gave a warm welcome and conducted the presentation about the Learning-Centered College. The three vice-presidents, Jeff Cooper, Dr. Willard Lewallen, and Dr. Jim Williams gave an overview of the goals and accomplishments of the 1999 Educational Master Plan. In a collaborative
effort, participants reviewed college goals and objectives and provided lively dialogue into the process.
This forum is one of many steps the College has taken to align goals and objectives with its revised mission statement and accreditation standards and themes in the development of the Integrated Master Plan. The Master Plan serves as the principle planning document for the College. By combining all segments of the planning process into an integrated Master Plan, the College will produce a single document that will continue to drive decision-making. A special thank you to everyone who participated in the Open Forum.

Accreditation Themes
There are six themes of quality that pervade the Accreditation Standards.
As you write, weave the themes into the standards. Preparation for the self study and
completion of the Self Study Report under these integrated standards requires
that attention be given to weaving these themes with responses given to the
specific standards. Be sure to address both the themes and the standards in
a coherent way that leads to assessment of institutional quality.
The themes are as follows:
