Short Term:  

·     To expand the psychology program to offer a certificate in Drug and Alcohol Counseling.

·     To modernize and update the technology of psychology offerings by  creating a dedicated “smart” classroom and supply other technology to faculty and staff.

·     To expand the Distance Education offerings of psychology courses.

·     To hire 1.0 FTE psychology faculty and 1.0 FTE support staff as needed for program growth.

·     To insure faculty and staff are updated and trained on available course technology.

Long Term:  

·     To expand the psychology program to offer a major in psychology.

·     To modernize the psychology offerings by creating a psychology computer lab.

·     To expand psychology’s Distance Education offerings to allow a student to complete a psychology major through Distance Education.

·     To add an additional 1.0 FTE psychology faculty and have 5.0 FTE psychology faculty on campus to meet program demands.

·     To continually train and update faculty and staff.

Short Term Objectives:  

·     To add five courses to the curriculum relating to Drug and Alcohol Counseling.

·     To prepare and submit the State Program Certification package for the  Drug and Alcohol Counseling Certificate program.

·     To have 4.0 FTE psychology faculty permanently located at VVC if required by program growth.

Long Term Objectives:  

·     We will offer at this campus all psychology courses required for a Drug and Alcohol Counselor’s certificate.

·     We will have 5.0 FTE psychology faculty permanently located at VVC as needed to accommodate growth.

Resources Required - Short Term:

·     Office support staff needed to meet short term requirements.
