4.29C       Specific Goals, Objectives And Resource Needs For This Cluster

   
GOAL #1:   To improve the didactic content and clinical application experience of the Respiratory Therapy Program.
   

Short Term Objectives:  

·     Increase clinical instructor contact hours with students.

·     Offer an Advance Practitioner NBRC Exam review class.

·     Expand the Pulmonary Rehabilitation and neonatal curriculum.

·     Increase FTE to 5.0 as required by program growth.

·     Expand the size of the RT lab to include more work stations.

Long Term Objectives:  

·     Place all RT computer resources online for immediate student access.

·     Designate a separate and dedicated RT computer lab.

·     Hire permanent RT tutors.

·     Expand RT lab with 30 student study stations.

·     Budget for major state of the art technological equipment.

Resources Required - Short Term:  

 

Personnel  

·     1 Full-time faculty member added to the Respiratory Therapy Program as required by program growth.

·     2 Respiratory care practitioners paid for tutoring RT students as needed for growth.

·     Develop an Internet computer resources online for immediate student access.

·     Budget for computerized technological equipment to support a long distance advance standing program.
