Short Term:  

·     Demonstrate instructional improvement by linking student learning to recorded measurable competencies and outcomes.

·     Respond to diverse student needs through using technology and program design to meet changing student needs and increased enrollment.

Long Term:  

·     Use state-of-the-art technologies to enhance faculty-led learning opportunities.

·     Identify present and ongoing education training needs of the nation, state and community and respond to the identified needs.

4.33C       Specific Goals, Objectives And Resource Needs For This Cluster

Short Term Objectives:  

·     Revise curriculum to allow for open entry/open exit and partial (modules) or full program completion.

·     Utilize technology mediated instruction and distance education as alternative delivery methods for instruction.

Long Term Objectives:  

·     Identify or create work stations needed for new delivery methods.

·     Modify course offerings as necessary to meet student and industry needs.

Resources Required - Short Term:  

Personnel  

·     Evaluate the need to increase the time classes are offered and add part-time instructors or increase instructional aide hours as needed, add a .6 part-time load and increase instructional assistant position to 100% from 50% as required by program growth.

Facilities/Equipment  

·     Work or study stations for computer courseware, video viewing and planning for laboratory activities.

·     Software, computers, videos, etc. to support technology mediated instruction and modular delivery.

Other Requirements  

·     Technical assistance to setup and operate the systems necessary for the delivery methods.

·     Conference attendance to support and enhance the program.

·     Training to support instructional delivery methods, software, and other areas as they are identified.

·     0.5 instructional assistant III increase as needed for growth.
