Due to a vacancy on the Board of Trustees, Victor Valley Community College District is soliciting applications for a person to serve as an appointed member of the Board of Trustees until the next regularly scheduled election for governing board members, which is November 2, 2010.
The Board is responsible for the governance of Victor Valley Community College District which serves 19,000 students annually and provides vital educational services to the communities in the region.
The College District covers 2,200 square miles and contains the communities of Apple Valley, Hesperia, Victorville, Adelanto, Wrightwood, Phelan, Pinion Hills, Oro Grande, Lucerne Valley, and Helendale. Those interested are invited to call the Victor Valley Community College President’s Office to obtain application information at 760-245-4271, Ext. 2544. Applications are also available online at www.vvc.edu.
Interested candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications in order to be considered:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be a registered voter in the District
- Must reside within the Victor Valley Community College District
