Campus briefs for Feb. - March

Love was in the air at
Valentines Day recital

--Victor Valley College's Women's Tennis is looking for players. Eligibility: 12 units plus a 2.0 grade point average. Practice is Monday through Friday; matches start soon. Contact Coach Killion at 243-5536.
--On Feb. 4, Victor Valley College hit the highest enrollment number of credit students: more than 11,000, officials report.
--Rugby practices are Tuesday and Thursday at Apple Valley Community Center, 7 to 9 p.m. on field 3 next to the skate park. For details, call  953-1424.
--The Christian Fellowship Club meets every Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. in the Student Activities Center, room A.
--The Theatre Arts Department's production of "Pippin" will open on Feb. 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. General Admission: $7, Senior and ASB card Admission: $5, and Children under 12 Admission: $3.

--The Art of Living yoga class meets every Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the SAC, room D.
--At the Associated Student Body Council's Feb 1 meeting, council members approved agenda items transferring ASB funds residing in other banks into Desert Community Bank, withdrawing its cash drawer from the Rams Bookstore and depositing that cash into the ASB general account. The council also discussed using a credit card tied to that account to pay for ASB approved agenda projects. ASB President Brandon De La Torre and Vice President Seth Moran are working with Dr. James Williams, Vice President of Administrative Services, to work out guidelines for governing the use of the credit card.
--Scholarship applications are due by  March 16 in the financial aid office in the Student Services Building. For details, call Financial Aid at extension 2277 and ask for Starla Underwood.
