an unsurpassed clarinet solo by Loribeth Dansie
and a virtuoso trumpet solo by Dave Leon. The
smiles on the musicians' faces revealed their
enjoyment in playing and pride in a song well
executed.
Conductor Craig Pridmore said
he is "privileged to work with such a talented
group of musicians." Players in the Symphonic
Band vary in age, but all share the same passion
and talent for playing beautiful and challenging
music.
Members range from Apple
Valley High School senior Amber Tolich on the
clarinet, to full-time VVC student Christina Goforth
on the trombone, to fourth-grade teacher at Desert
Trails Elementary School Dan Eggleston on the
flute.
Another concert featuring
all four of these musical groups is scheduled
for May 16. Prices are likely to stay the same
with $6 for general admission, $4 for ASB/senior
and $2 for children under 12. For tickets, call
