income and/or first-generation college students (neither parent has a bachelor's degree).  Labs for Math 50 and English 50 are available, as are computers for student use, academic and personal development workshops, cultural activities, counseling, tutoring and help in obtaining financial aid.  Students may apply for SSS in the Student Services II Building.  For information, call extension 2641.   Office hours are Monday through  Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Remember, all students may schedule an appointment with a Generalist Counselor.  Students must apply for each specialized program separately.  Some students may qualify for more than one specialized counseling service.
     Be sure the assessment test is completed before making a counseling appointment.  Scores are valid for three years.  These scores are needed for math and English placement.
Attention: Liberal arts majors going into teaching should see a counselor as soon as possible because California credential requirements are changing.
     All counselors and staff wish you a safe and enjoyable summer.

Summer PAC Events

     The Performing Arts Center will be hosting "The Laramie Project" by Moises Kaufman on July 10, 11 and 12, 7:30 p.m., and July 13, 2:30 p.m.
     "Forever Plaid" will be performed in the PAC on July 17, 18 and 19, 7:30     p.m., with an optional dinner  at 6 p.m. in the Student Activities Center.
