lege plans to celebrate Halloween with a multi media theatrical production called Dia de Los Muertos (Spanish for Day of the Dead) on Oct. 29 and 30 in the Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. This presentation will include performances by the VVC dance department and students from the Multi-Cultural Dance Center (MCDC). There will be live music, folkloric dancing and a performance by opera singer Angel Blue, a former student of VVC. The production will be directed by VVC faculty member, David Rodriguez and Artistic Director of MCDC Irma Aguilar. A Halloween Festival is scheduled for Oct. 30 in the Student Activities Center from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. There will be a carnival with different activities for young kids to participate in.
