Students were given tasks in preparing various food dishes including Shrimp Creole and several chicken dishes, setting tables and re-filling drink storage containers.
Silverado teacher Sue Ballard gave her students the opportunity to take part in Shadow Day. Ballard teaches Gourmet and Advanced Foods classes at Silverado and hoped that her students would see possibilities for further education by taking part in Shadow Day.
Many students left Shadow Day with a new outlook on where their educational journey will take them after high school.
