Schedule
of Classes
The Schedule
of Classes is an important source of information and should be retained
for the semester. The schedule is used for the following:
- Class
Selection--All of the classes offered for the term
and the times the classes are offered are listed in the
Schedule of Classes. You will make your class selections
from what is listed in the Schedule of Classes.
- Deadline
Dates--All of the important dates, i.e. add deadline,
drop deadline, final exam schedule and holidays are listed
in the Schedule of Classes.
- Prerequisites--A
“Prerequisite” is a course or other condition of enrollment
that a student must meet before enrolling in a course or
program. All of the course prerequisites are listed in the
Schedule of Classes and College Catalog. In addition,
information on how to challenge a prerequisite is provided.

The Victor Valley
College Catalog and the Student Handbook are publications that every
student should have and retain indefinitely. You are being
given a copy of these documents as part of this orientation.
Important information includes:
- Academic
and College Policies and Procedures--Most VVC policies,
procedures, and requirements.
- Certificate
Requirements--Requirements for all vocational/occupational
certificates are listed.
- Degree
Requirements--Requirements for all associate degree
programs are listed.
- Transfer
Requirements--Requirements for transfer to four-year
colleges and universities.
- Course
Descriptions--Descriptions for all courses offered at
VVC.
- Student
Services--Comprehensive information on all services
available to support a successful educational experience
(e.g., financial aid, counseling, disabled student services,
etc.)
- Learning
Support Services--Comprehensive information on all services
available to support academic success (e.g., tutoring, study
skills, basic English and math skills, etc.)
