Become
familiar with campus services - they are here to help you!
Below you will find descriptions of a few of the student services
available to you. Additional student services are described
in the College Catalog.
Counseling
Counselors are available to assist students with academic planning,
career options and limited personal counseling. Counselors are
available on an appointment basis for in-depth educational planning
and issues, or on a walk-in basis for quick questions.
- Once
classes have started, you can schedule an appointment
by
calling 245-4271 ext. 2296 or 2531 or by coming to the
Counseling Office located in the Counseling and Administration
Building.
- Transcripts--Before
scheduling an appointment with a counselor, make sure transcripts
from high school and any previous college work have been
submitted to the Admissions and Records Office. In order
to receive effective academic advisement and develop an
educational plan, it is necessary to have all records on
file.

Financial
Aid
The Financial Aid Office provides financial assistance to eligible
students. All students seeking financial assistance must complete
the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Financial
assistance is provided in the form of:
- grants
(money does not have to be be paid back)
- work
study (on campus jobs)
- loans
(money must be paid back)
- scholarships
(money does not have to be paid back)

EOPS/CARE
The Extended Opportunity Programs & Services (EOPS) is designed
to assist and support students from a variety of backgrounds.
EOPS offers services to qualified students who are educationally and/or
economically disadvantaged. CARE (Cooperative Agencies Resources
for Education) provides services for single parents over the age of
18 receiving welfare. To become eligible for services contact
EOPS/CARE.

Transfer
Center
The Transfer Center provides resources and information to help students
make a smooth transition into a four-year college or university. Some
of the resources you will find include:

DSPS
The Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS) provides services
to physical and learning disabled students. The primary objective
of DSPS is to provide programs and services that help disabled students
achieve success in their educational pursuits. Resources available
include academic and vocational counseling, interpreters for the
deaf, mobility aides, early registration, individualized testing
and use of the Adaptive Computer Technology (ACT) Center
.

The Career Center provides students the opportunity to explore

Student Activities
Student activities are those involvement opportunities which
occur outside the classroom and include: student government,
clubs, organizations and volunteerism.

Parking
Parking permits are required from Monday through Saturday. There
is no grace period. You must have a semester parking
permit, daily permit, or park in meter parking.
All vehicles parking on the Campus must abide by the parking
rules and regulations. Semester permits are available
from the Bursar office. Additional parking is available
at the meters and daily permits can be purchased at the dispensers
- meters and dispensers take quarter only. Permits
must be displayed in the plain view.
