The Victor Valley Community College District stretches across the north central section of the country’s largest county (San Bernardino County) and covers an area of about two thousand square miles. The area is known for mining and major north/south transportation routes. Distribution and logistics are becoming two emerging industries that will be driving economic growth in the decades to come.
During the winter months, local mountains located 45 minutes from the Victor Valley feature world class skiing and snowboarding facilities that include Mountain High, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain Ski Resorts.
Year-round boating, fishing, hiking, golf, and desert off-road vehicle tracts bring visitors from all over the country to the High Desert to enjoy the moderate weather, sunny days, and blue skies.
Other entertainment venues include minor league baseball, live theater and music concerts (VVC Performing Arts Center), and numerous clubs and organizations that support special programs such as the Community Concert Series.
