PUENTE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
If you are unable to make the commitment to become a Puente MENTOR, there are many ways to be involved as a volunteer with the Victor Valley College Puente Program. We hope that you will consider one of the following opportunities to make a difference in a student's life:
- Be a guest speaker in a Puente English or Guidance class
- Help plan and/or facilitate cultural, educational or service activities
- Sponsor a fundraising activity or event
- Provide job shadowing opportunities for Puente students
- Facilitate career development or personal success workshops for students
- Give a tour of your current job and/or host a "Career Day" at your work site
- Sit on our Puente Advisory Council
- Provide a contribution to the Puente Student Scholarship Fund or Student Book Loan Library
