Coach Christa White graduated from Texas Tech University in 1983 and was a Division I Volleyball Scholarship Athlete with two All-Southwest Conference First Team Selection Honors. She has an overall combined high school and college coaching record of 429-233 with 4 High School League Championships and 7 College Conference Championships over 33 years of coaching volleyball. 

She is a United States Volleyball Association Level II CAP Certified Coach and coached 5 years with Higher Power Volleyball Club coaching 14-18's teams with a top 40 finish in the 18's and 14's at the Sacramento Volleyball Festival as well as a divisional championship in the 16's division.  She was the owner and director of the White Lightning Volleyball Club from 2001-2008 and had her 18’s team in 2005 finish 29th in the Reno Festival.

Under Coach White, the Rams have earned 7 Conference titles in 21 years.  Last year the team struggled to be consistent and ended up tied for 3rd in the Western States Conference East Division. She is a 7 time Coach of the Year recipient. (1997, 98, 99, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2014) Her collegiate coaching record is 288-181 overall and 199-51 in conference play, making her the most successful coach in VVC history men or women’s sports.

Coach White has served as the President for the CCCWVCA and the President of the Victor Valley/Barstow Volleyball Officials Association and is a C-1* rated CIF volleyball official she is retired from officiating, but still acts as an advisor to local officials and coaches.  She is an avid golfer and holds Women's Club Championship titles at Ashwood Golf Course (2008) and is the defending Women's Club champion at the Apple Valley Golf Course (2014-2017).

Rena has multifaceted experience in volleyball. Her experience and education is in park and recreation and early childhood education. Her playing experience was high school and college in the South Bay area. Just recently, Rena went back to college and played her final year of eligibility here at Victor Valley College in 2015. She received her AA in Liberal Studies at VVC and has completed her Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and Psychology through Park University in Febuary of 2018. She is currently working on her Masters Degree and should complete that in 2020.  She is also our Head Beach Volleyball Coach for the past 2 seasons, initiating the sport in 2016.  Her coaching experience has covered all age groups over the last 24 years ranging from athletes of 8 year olds to 18 year olds. She is the Owner/Director/Coach of Desert Rogue Athletics Volleyball Club and volunteer coaches the volleyball program for Mojave Valley Special Olympics. She also covers the point of view from the officiating world still officiating club and collegiate and high performance beach, and indoor juniors club and collegiate levels Officiating the 2017 NCAA Division I Playoffs and Final Championship Match. Her experience is also extended to having raised three volleyball children.  All three children played at club, high school and collegiate levels and are associated with junior club and high school coaching and collegiate officiating in Southern California.
