PHYS 100 Introductory Physics 4.0 units
Prerequisite: MATH 50 with a grade of "C" or better. An introduction to physics for students who have not had physics, or who have not had physics recently. Fundamental principles of mechanics, waves, heat, electricity and magnetism, light, atomic and nuclear physics. CSU,UC (UC credit limitation)

(CAN PHYSB) Mechanics of Solids
Prerequisites: PHYS 100 or high school physics; MATH 226 (Math 226 may be taken concurrently). Course material includes a study of vectors, rectilinear motion, motion in a plane, particle dynamics, work and energy, conservation laws, collisions, rotational kinematics and dynamics. CSU,UC (UC credit limitation).
