VVC STUDENT CLUBS: Ready Rams Club :: Officers

Jessica Vera : President

I moved to Hesperia in 2007, seeking a new beginning, which is exactly what I developed. I could honestly say, I did not believe I would be so involved and carry so much responsibility at a college. In my experience, Ready Rams has changed my life for the better, and helped make me a strong-er person. I served the Ready Rams Club as a member in 2007, worked my way to ICC Rep in 2008, then to Vice President. It gives me such great pleasure and honor to serve as the President for 2009-2010. We have achieved so much in our past, from Lights of Love, to Victor Valley Mission Servings, even to University Visits, and we remain Ready to accomplish that this academic year.......and so much more. I look forward to a great year, why you ask? All because I have a great team not behind me, but by my side.......and with a little faith, we can make anything happen.

I have been living in Hesperia for about 15 years. My family moved up here from Los Angeles when I was about 4. I graduated in 2008 from Hesperia High School. I am now a full time student at Victor Valley College. I plan to transfer to the University of California Los Angeles ( UCLA), where I hope to double major in Psychology and Public Relations with an emphasis in image management. I have big dreams and high hopes.

It was not until this past school year when I decided I wanted to be more involved in my campus. I was given the opportunity by the Ready Rams Club. With that being said I was recently chosen to serve as Vice President. With my creativity and clever sense of humor I hope to bring a unique quality to this year's cabinet and club as well. I am looking forward to the many activities our President has planned for us. As well as working with the rest of the cabinet, which I can guarantee you are some of the most brightest and most talented students VVC has to offer. I can only await the many memories I will take away from this club.

I started at Victor Valley College in Fall 2008. Fresh out of high school I realized that it was time for me to become more responsible. I tried and struggled for a while, it’s very hard to have a choice of going to class or not, to study or watch T.V, but I started figuring it out. First, I started going to workshops that E.O.P.S offered, then I joined the Ready Rams Club. Joining Ready Rams is one of the best things I did. The people involved are nice, down to earth, and always willing. They were everything I wanted because everything they are, I am. Fall 2009 I will be the Secretary of R.R.C, I couldn't’t be happier. I’m not sure of exactly everything that is planned for this year, but I am Ready and I hope you are too.

I have lived in the High Desert for the past thirteen years and I love it. I have been attending VVC for a few years and after a long journey I am finally going to graduate in the Spring of 2010 with an Associates Degree in Computer Science. I am very happy to have been appointed as Treasurer for the Ready Rams Club and I look foward to working with the student body as well as our community. This year will be a great challenge for me, because I'll have to learn how to manage my time when it comes to school, work, club events, and meetings. Ready Rams has a great team, I believe we will have a good year and accomplish our goals.

I moved back to the High Desert in September 06. I started a process that has been very rewarding and uplifting at the same time. I decided to start my life over, given the economy and personal challenges that had occurred to me. During this past year while attending Victor Valley College, I felt that I wanted to become part of something bigger than just myself , so I could make a difference and the Ready Rams has been just that for me. The Ready Rams has been a place where I could be part of the team spirit, a place where I could utilize the efforts of myself and of others. I am very honored and humbled by the fact that I was chosen for the position of I.C.C. Representative and I intend to give everything of myself and to the benefit of the club so that others may enjoy the Ready Rams as I have. This year is going to be a very good year for the club.

Activities Director's of the Ready Rams Club here at Victor Valley College .  I am a motivated and dedicated individual who plans on improving this organization’s image in the community and on the campus as well.  I am a natural born leader who always accomplishes anything that needs to be done, and who is a huge team player. I plan on setting up new projects with fresh ideas that shall soon grow into something beautiful, just as a seed grows to be an elegant flower.

I moved to the Hi-Desert when I was six years old so I know my way around pretty good. I went to Options for Youth Charter High School. There I was a member of the Student Activities Council, which planned school trips and fundraisers. I graduated in 2007 and have been at V.V.C. since. I hope to become a Criminal Psychologist, but for now I am just aiming for a Liberal Arts Degree. I have enjoyed my experiences here so far and have met many great teachers and fellow students. I look forward to serving the school as one of the Activities Directors for the Ready Rams Club and am excited about the up coming events that the club has planned for this year.
