Veteran's Academic Counselor

The Veteran Academic Counselor meets with veterans and dependents of veterans two days out of the week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).  The counselor will be located in building 52. Stop by the Veteran Service Window # 12 for further directions.

  • Tuesdays are by appointments only.

To set an appointment you will need to visit building 55 (Counseling Building) and make sure to mention that you are a Veteran. You can also schedule your appointment online.

The Veterans  Academic Counselor last week will be the week of 12/15/14; he will be back on 2/3/15. Prescheduled VA appointments for February can be booked starting 01/20/15.  

  • Wednesdays are the Drop-in days from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.    

The VA Drop-ins for the week of 12/15/14 will be changed from Wednesday 12/17/18 to Thursday 12/18/14  from 9-12 noon.   Counselor will be gone for the rest of the year, and he will be back on 2/3/15.  The VA Drop-ins will resume on 2/4/15,  9-1pm.  

Transcripts

You will need to bring all transcripts from any other colleges that you may have attended to include your military transcripts for evaluation.

  

Other Counselors

If you are not available on Tuesday or Wednesday, You can also meet with any Counselor any day of the week by visiting the Counseling Department.  Make sure to mention that you are a Veteran to be able to have a Veteran's Educational Plan prepared,  or you can schedule your appointment online.

GI BILL® Education Plan

The VA requires that GI Bill® students have a current GI Bill® Education plan, prepared by a VVC Counselor, in their VA File.
