AA-T in Law, Public Policy, and Society

 

The purpose of the Associate in Arts in Law, Public Policy and Society for Transfer degree is to prepare students for transfer to the California State University system. It is specifically designed to fulfill the lower division requirements for various Bachelor's degrees, including those in public policy, public administration, criminal justice, and political science. The completion of an advanced degree and/or professional certificate, such as a baccalaureate degree, is normally required for students to pursue jobs or careers in related public policy, public administration, criminal justice and political science fields.  

Law, Public Policy and Society Program Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of the Associate in Arts in Law, Public Policy and Society for Transfer degree the student can:

  1. Demonstrate a breadth of knowledge and critical thinking skills as related to social science concepts and theories including legal and public policy analysis;
  2. Evaluate diverse viewpoints related to the human experience and the impact of legal and policy decisions on society;
  3. Produce evidence-based arguments regarding legal and public policy theories and decision making.
