Experience: 
 

Mr. Bennett has been with VVC since 1997; during this time, he has served as a faculty member and in increasingly responsible leadership roles. He has served as the Department Chair and Program Director for the Automotive Technology Department and the Fire Program Department Chair and Program Director mentor in the School of Public Safety and Industrial Technology. He has been a certified ASE Master Technician for over 30 years. Additionally, he is a proud VVC alumnus, earning Associate of Science Degrees in Fire Technology and Automotive technology. He is also an alumnus of Chapman University, earning a baccalaureate degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Organizational leadership and a master’s degree in education with an emphasis in community college leadership from the American College of Education. During his time here, he has served in a multitude of roles, including: 

  • Vocational representative to the Academic Senate 

  • VVC Academic Senate Vice President 

  • VVC Academic Senate President 

  • VVC Academic Senate Past 

  • Co-chair of VVC College Council 

  • CTE articulation liaison to the high desert high schools and MDCP
