Athletic Facilities @ VVC

Victor Valley College Facilities are some of the finest Junior College facilities in Southern California. From the recently reopened football stadium and growing soccer fields, to the 4.2 million dollar VVC Gymnasium and re-conditioned locker room (new lockers installed and locker room repainted in 2000), VVC athletes enjoy an excellent competitive environment in which to compete.

The 4.2 million dollar VVC Gymnasium, which opened in 1994, is an air conditioned facility which can hold up to 2,500 people (with the upper bleachers pulled out). The VVC Gymnasium has been home to the Women's Volleyball team's THREE (3) Foothill conference championships.

The gymnasium contains a 4,300 square foot mirrored weight room which contains Hammer strength, free weights, Cybex, Sampson, Supercat, and Star trac training equipment. The weight room is an integral component for VVC teams to strength train and condition to prepare for the rigors of competitive athletics.

After playing many season at Newton Bass Stadium the Rams football team finally moved on campus for their home games. The growing stadium currently has temporary bleachers for spectators which allow you to feel as though you are part of the game. The recently added score board purchased by Greiner Pontiac should display Ram victories for years to come.

When soccer returned to VVC, the college did not hesitate to create one of the finest training and practice facilities in the high desert. The soccer area contains numerous fields that are superbly maintained by the VVC staff. The facility is used in the off season by numerous club and youth soccer organizations to foster high desert soccer.

The Tennis team plays on the Desert Community Bank-sponsored, lighted tennis courts adjacent to the Physical Education Facility.

The baseball team enjoys the luxury of a tree-lined field which has been home to many victories. The baseball facility has batting cages and permanent bleachers.

The college's golf team practices and competes at the finest golf facility in the high desert.

Spring Valley Lake Country Club is a beautiful facility adjacent to the Victor Valley College Campus.
