Directed Learning Activities (DLAs) are faculty-designed exercises that provide students support in key writing and reading concepts. They require a short time limit to complete and require a follow-up session with a tutor after completion. When finished with a DLA, visit the Writing Center in-person or make an appointment to meet with a tutor.
How to access the DLAs online:

Log into your Canvas account. If you have problems, contact the Help Desk at (760) 245-4271, ext. 2740, or servicedesk@vvc.edu

Click on the “Tutoring and Academic Support: Acad101” tile

Click on “Modules” located on the left

Scroll down and click on “DLAs” underneath “Writing Center”

Click the name of a DLA to access it
