Internal VVC Training
To ensure the highest level of support for our students' success, Victor Valley College requires faculty to be certified to teach in asynchronous, hybrid, and remote modalities. For information on certification requirements and how to get started, please visit:
Online Instructor (DE) Certification
After obtaining DE certification, faculty may apply for approval to teach in the Remote modality, which is also referred to as synchronous online instruction. For more details on the application process, please visit:
External Training
CVC Online Network of Educators (@)ONE
The CCC @ONE offers a wide range of learning opportunities including webinars, self-paced courses, and full courses with badged completion. All courses are offered free to CCC instructors but often fill up fast so check back frequently.
Their 12-week Online Teaching & Design course is accepted by VVC as equivalent to our Online Instructor Certification.

Request Equivalency
Victor Valley College welcomes equivalency reviews for online instructor certification if you’ve completed training elsewhere. We currently accept:
- CVC-ONE Online Teaching and Design (12-week course)
- Certification from Riverside City College
- Certification from College of the Desert
If you’ve completed other, comparable training, you may submit a request an equivalency review. This form collects everything our DE department needs to evaluate you and your course for Online Instructor Certification. At the end of the form, you’ll have a place to upload supporting documents.
