Employer Application Process


STEP 1 - APPLY:  Complete the Employer Internship Application and the Learning Objectives Worksheet (four objectives minimum required) for each internship position type.  Please see the Learning Objectives Guidelines & Examples for further information.  If the internship is unpaid, employers must also review, approve, and submit the Unpaid Internship Agreement with their application.  Submit these materials to Marianne Kuhns at Marianne.kuhns@vvc.edu or fax to (760) 245-4279.


STEP 2 - APPROVAL:  The Cooperative Education instructor will review the application and determine if it is a viable learning opportunity for Victor Valley College students.  The employer will be notified by the Cooperative Education department if the internship application is approved.


STEP 3 - RECRUITMENT:  If the internship application is approved, the Cooperative Education department will market the internship opportunity to Victor Valley College students.  Based upon the employer's requested method of application, the Cooperative Education department will forward the student applications/resumes to the employer for consideration to conduct their interview process.


STEP 4 - STUDENT PLACEMENT:  Once the employer has selected interns the employer will direct students to the Cooperative Education department to enroll in the appropriate Cooperative Education course.
