EMT REFRESHER INFO & FAQ

  1. Who can take an EMT Refresher?
    Although there is no prerequisite for EMS 61A & B, this class is designed for the certified EMT within the State of California.

  1. Will course satisfy NREMT requirements?
    Yes, Course will satisfy NREMT requirements. EMT's are eligible for 24 hours of EMS CEU's at the completion of this course.

  1. Will I receive my CA state skills verification through this course?
    Yes!    All students will take skills exams in this course.

  1. Is there a dress code?
    Yes!    Students should attend class in department issued uniforms or business casual. Please keep in mind students will be performing EMT skills.

  1. Are there any required books?
    Information will be given by instructor when registered for class. Students will also be required to complete online coursework. 

  1. Where is the EMT Refresher held?
    EMT refresher courses are held at the Victor Valley College Regional Public Safety Training Center, located at 19190 Navajo Rd, Apple Valley CA 92307.

    May 4th, 11th & 18th from 08:00-15:00 hrs, (3-days), search for EMS 61A & EMS 61B in Course Listing. Both courses must be done to complete the refresher.
