High Desert Commitment Cohorts

The High Desert Commitment is divided into two unique tracks and consists of 4 cohorts:

 

STEM Tracks:

Women in STEM:

This track is designed to assist female students who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).  This track targets female students that are interested in transferring to the 4-year college/university in STEM majors and ultimately a career in the STEM field.

STEM:

This track is designed to assist all students who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).  This track is for students who are interested in pursuing a STEM degree at a 4-year college/university and a career in the STEM field.

 

STEM majors:

Applied Science, Architecture, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Kinesiology, Math, Physical Science, Physics

 

Liberal Arts/Liberal Studies Tracks:

 

High Desert Commitment Track A and Track B:

These two cohorts are designed to assist non-STEM students who are interested in transferring to the 4-year college/university.

 

examples of non-stem majors:

Business, Political Science, Accounting, Real Estate, Philosophy, Music, Construction Management, Sociology, and many more!

 

 

Program Services:

Counseling, Student Support Network, Culturally Enriching Activities, Academic Success Workshops, University Tours, Book Assistance (up to $300 per semester), 2nd Year Assistance & Follow Up, Student Leadership Training/Opportunities, and Mentoring.
