Congratulations on submitting your transfer admission application! There are some additional steps you need to complete as you continue with the admission process to a CSU/UC campus. These are general steps for transfer admission. Please check your e-mail and applicant portal for additional steps from all universities you applied to:
Step One: Complete Transfer Academic Update (TAU)
Complete the Cal State University and/or University of California TAU by January 31st!
- Report your fall 2022 final grades
- Report/Update your winter/spring 2023 schedules

Step Two: Create Your Applicant Portal
Create your Applicant Portal (e.g. MyCoyote) for each university you applied to. Check your email for details on how to activate these. Visit your portals periodically for "To-Do's," to update personal data, check financial aid status, and more!
- Check your "To-Do" List for each campus:
- Submit official college transcripts for universities requesting these by their postmark deadline.
- You need to provide official transcripts from all colleges you've attended and reported in your transfer application.
- Resource: Requesting VVC Transcripts for a fee
- If you reported Advance Placement (AP) Exam Scores or other exam scores you will also need to submit these scores to the universities requesting official transcripts.
- Resource: Visit College Board to send official AP Scores for a fee.
- Complete additional tasks listed on your "To-Do" Lists
- Submit official college transcripts for universities requesting these by their postmark deadline.
Step Three: Complete Supplemental Application
Supplemental Applications are required for certain campuses (e.g. Berkeley, CSULB, etc.) and/or programs (e.g. Nursing). Check your email for details and deadlines.
- Complete entrance exams and submit scores by specified deadlines.

Step Four: Apply for Financial Aid
Complete the 2023-24 FAFSA/CA Dream Act Application by March 2nd! List all universities you've applied to for transfer admission. Need assistance filling out your financial aid apps? Sign up for a virtual/in-person workshop with VVC Financial Aid!
Step Five: Accept Your Admission
Accept your Admission Offer & pay the Enrollment Deposit by May 1st (for CSU's) and June 1st for (UC's)! You can only accept your admission offer to one university campus.
Step Six: Submit Final Transcripts & Exam Scores
Submit official college transcripts and exam scores to your transfer university campus by July 15th! If you are earning an AA-T/AS-T and/or receiving the CSUGE/IGETC certification, make sure your official transcript(s) include these certifications.
