Public Service Loan Forgiveness
AB 463 adds Section 97489 to the Education Code and requires the Chancellor's Office to develop materials, as specified, to increase awareness among community college faculty of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) federal program and provide these materials to each community college district for dissemenation to all faculty employees. AB 463 takes effect January 1, 2020.
The PSLF application requires that Victor Valley Community College District (District) fill out Section 4: Employer Certification. The District's Payroll Office can also assist in filling out Section 3: Employer Information.
