What We Do
This is what you can expect during a general Christian Club meeting:
- 12:30 – 1:00 - Announcements and Fellowship
- 1:00 – 1:30 - Worship
- 1:30 – 2:15 - Bible Study and Discussion
- 2:15 – 2:30 - Prayer
Outdoor meetings and outreaches are held once each a month, in on the outdoor stage just outside the Student Activities Center/Food Court by the elevator to lower campus. Those are announced on our monthly schedule.
These are some of our core focuses as a Christ-centered organization.
Our prayers and ministries are geared primarily towards the purpose of bringing healing and restoration to the lives of those in the club: both the believer and the non-believer. To live out Christ’s words in John 13:35, we seek out those who are rejected or hurt and personally seek to bring them to a place of wellness again, following the example of Christ as detailed in the entirety of the Gospels.
Beyond simply socializing we seek to form bonds that will last beyond our time at VVC and grow each other through this. We seek to be an embodiment of the church unity described in 1 Corinthians 12:12-26 and provide a platform for those with gifts in teaching, worship or service to perform them and gain experience to use them in their walks. Bringing the Church together to unite against the dark forces of the world, as described in Ephesians 6:10, is at the core of what we do.
We meet outside and in the food court regularly not only to evangelize but to also publically announce our status as Christians. We take encouragements to share our faith like that in Matthew 10:33 very seriously and hold that Christianity is a lifetime commitment that is something to be celebrated and worn with joy and pride, and give Christians a platform to do so.
Service to the Campus
The food, cards and community hours we give to VVC and the greater High Desert are not only done to hopefully lead them to Christ but also to express and release the love God showed us and give it to others, in both spiritual and material form. As in James 2:16-17, we firmly believe that all we have is God’s, and all that God has is for the compassion He has for the broken.
