SAM Grant Outreach Calendar & Events
Friday, November 3, 2017
Natasha Hansen, the SAM Grant Outreach Coordinator, along with the SAM Grant Student Ambassadors participated in Discover VVC. An event hosted for high school students, allowing them the opportunity to learn about Victor Valley College, the academic programs offered, the student services provided, and much more. In support of the Math Department and the recent updates to the Pathways, Curriculum, and Classrooms, Ms. Hansen and the Student Ambassadors gave campus tours and set up a Math Department booth for students to obtain the information they need. It is critical for prospective students to know that Math is a vital part of their education. Even though students might not seek a Math Degree, they will be required to complete math courses for certificates, degrees, or to transfer to a four-year university!
