ASB Inter-Club Council Evonne Tirado.

Services

(Pleased to Introduce myself) my Name is Evonne Tirado, i am math and science major at Victor Valley College. I arrived on V.V.C. Campus in the Spring of 2009 as a high school student in hopes of graduating early. When I first became a full time student I took on a handful of medical classes, my only goal was to succeed in my studies.

As the months went by, I began to realize that such excessive studying wasn't giving me enough time to commit to what I felt is one of my strongest passions; helping others. It was then that I started observing the clubs on campus before finally stumbling upon the Ready Rams club. Ready Rams club represents helping others create bonds within a group, extending them outwards to fellow students and the community. Influenced by their charisma, this last year I felt committed to do a bit more for my fellow students: I became treasure of the ready rams. My needs to help others led me to further inquire about similar programs on campus. I discovered we had one of the best ASB councils in the WORLD! It may sound like an exaggeration, but, honestly i feel that with our new council we can reach many goals, help many students and impact 14,000 students lives. My position in ASB is Student Services Senator which basically means, its my job to be informed of the many things that are offerered on our campus such as:Financial Aid, Admissions and Records, Assesment Testing in addition to EOPS and Phi Theta Kappa. When i complete my studies at VVC, I plan to attending CSUSB where i will complete my BA then finish up at Loma Linda University. Regardless of my plans, i like to keep in mind a quote: "When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down happy. They told me I didn't understand the assignment. I told them they didn't understand life." -by John Lennon. Through life we loose sight the things we want because of struggle, but, if we hold on to the key to life nothings out of reach.
