HOW TO APPLY FOR E.O.P.S.

  1. Be admitted as a student at Victor Valley College.
  2. Take the Assessment Test.  This will provide information that enables you and the E.O.P.S. Counselor to make better selections of classes based on reading, English, and math skills.
  3. Register in 12 or more units of classes in the Fall semester or in the Spring semester; (not required if you are a DSPS student), or register in 4 or more units in the Winter or Summer session.
  4. Fill out an E.O.P.S. application, in person, at the E.O.P.S. office.   Be sure to bring in your proof of income, whether it's a Tax Return (1040), or an Untaxed Income Form or a copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR), (which is filled out and stamped by the agency), and your current (within the last 3 years) assessment scores.
  5. The E.O.P.S. office will notify you by mail of your eligibility status.

  7. EOPS Application deadlines are as follows:
    • Summer 2009 Session:
      • Accepting applications between the dates of June 15 - 30, 2009
    • Fall 2009 Semester:
      • Accepting applications between the dates of July 27 - Nov. 6, 2009
    • Spring 2010:
      • Accepting applications between the dates of Jan. 4 - May 7, 2010.
