How To Apply for E.O.P.S.

Be admitted as a student at Victor Valley College.

Take the Assessment Test. This will provide information that enables you and the E.O.P.S. Counselor to make better selections of classes based on reading, English, and math skills.

Register in 12 or more units of classes in the Fall semester or in the Spring semester; (not required if you are a DSPS student), or register in 4 or more units in the Winter or Summer session.

Fill out an E.O.P.S. application, in person, at the E.O.P.S. office. Be sure to bring in your proof of income, whether it's a Tax Return (1040), or an Untaxed Income Form or a copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR), (which is filled out and stamped by the agency), and your current (within the last 3 years) assessment scores.

In order for your application to be processed, you must submit all necessary and supportive documents.

The E.O.P.S. office will notify you by mail of your eligibility status.

EOPS Application deadlines are as follows:

Fall 2012 Semester:
- Accepting applications between the dates of July 23 - Oct 31, 2012 or when Cap is met, whichever come first. It is recommended that you submit your application in July.
- Continuing Students:
- If you are a contuning student, it is recommended that you make your first contact as soon as possible, preferably in August or September.
